Nuun Kona Cola Float Recovery Treat

After today’s long run I decided to treat myself to something really decadent…

First, mix up one tablet of Kona Cola Nuun with 16 oz. of water and ice and let the tablet dissolve.

Then, fill an 8 oz. cup half full with the Nuun mixture and add one scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The ice cream gets icy and creamy mixed with the cola flavored Nuun, it so good! Keep in mind, it does not taste as sweet, syrupy and intense like Coke would, but it also is better for you with less than 1g of carbs, fewer than 8 calories. No sugar. No high-fructose corn syrup. No artificial flavors or colors.

The ice cream, on the other hand, is not so healthy — exactly why I call it a “treat”!

Some other facts about Kona Cola Nuun…

Each tube of Nuun contains 12 tablets. Each tablet makes 16 oz. of Nuun, and delivers 360 mg Sodium / 100 mg Potassium / 25 mg Magnesium / 13 mg Calcium.

*Kona Cola contains 20 mg. of Caffeine per serving.

  7. Pretty cool idea! I just started using Nuun for the first time. I like the taste, but I’ve decided my stomach isn’t crazy about it when running. I’m saving it for the bike where I’m less likely to get stomach upset.
