The temperatures have been soaring across the country. When the weather gets like this the only way to perform your best is to keep your electrolytes in check. A few symptoms of dehydration are muscle fatigue, cramps, headaches, dizziness, nausea, decreased performance level, and rapid heart rate. To combat these symtoms I make sure to monitor my fluid intake and if you read my blog regularly, you know that I am a huge fan of Nuun. I don’t get out much, so to keep things exciting in my world I like to “dress up my Nuun”. The Kona Kola Float was my first attempt at making drink time fun, it proved so successful I came up with another Nuun Recipe… The Tri-Berry Refresher
I started with a 16 oz. Bottle of Perrier and disolved a Nuun Tri-Berry tablet in it.

I used small handful of cut up strawberries, blueberries and rasberries and added this to the Nuun/Perrier mixture

Add crushed ice and serve immediately… ice cold and so refreshing!

Stay hydrated and DRESS UP YOUR NUUN!

That looks so refreshing! I like dropping nuun into sparkling water too, love the idea of adding berries. Perfect summer drink!
That looks so good! I would never be creative enough to come up with something like that! Thanks for sharing.
I love Nuun – after 2 bouts of dehydration and a bout of hyponatremia (I was drinking too much plain water and nothing resembling electrolytes), we order Nuun by the box. I take it on ALL my runs, even thouse on my TM when it’s too hot (which has been every day here in TX; average temp is about 95) I tried this recipe, but opted to place all the ingredients including fruit, in a blender, then added the ‘smoothie’ into my fuelbelt bottles.
I liked that the fruit gave the drink a slightly stronger flavor without the heartburn that sometimes accompanies the electrolytes.
Wow Brandy what a great idea to stick it in the blender and take on a run with you. I use fruit as fuel for some of my runs, your idea makes it all in one. Thank you so much for commenting on this.. love to hear from other runners, everyone is so creative. Have a great weekend!
Now that looks delicious and I just got a box of Tri Berry. I’m making it and NOT sharing!
Thanks Jen! xoxo
Thanks for sharing! That looks fantastic! Definitely have to try it.
Thank you Anne!
So what time should I come over for Happy Nuun Hour?
Come on over! I’ll wip up a Nuun cocktail for you anytime!
I have all the ingredients and as soon as I hit “Post Comment” I’m getting up to make this yummy concoction!
Thank you so much Cherie! Hope you enjoyed
Very cool! They should serve this at races at the end.
